About Us
Where every saree carries a name, a family, and a craft behind it.
Our Beginning
Adira was born from a simple love — for handicrafts, for handloom, for the quiet artistry woven into every traditional textile. During the pandemic, that love met a hard reality: weaver families across the country were struggling, their looms falling silent as orders disappeared overnight. Watching that unfold, alongside a lifelong love for these crafts, was what set everything in motion.
From Passion to Purpose
In October 2025, that conviction turned into action. Adira — Threads of Tradition was founded on one clear principle: work directly with weaver families, with no middlemen in between, so that the value of every saree flows back to the hands that made it.
Our Craft
We work across some of India's most storied handloom traditions — Kanchipuram Silk, Kanchi Soft Silk, Ikkat, Sungudi, Ilkal, Bishnupuri, and Kalamkari. Every saree in our collection is personally curated — hand-selected from artisan families for its weave, its quality, and the story it carries — before it ever reaches you.
Meet the Founder
Adira is founded and run by Kavya Adiga, an Engineer by profession working in IT, who balances building this brand alongside her career — driven by a personal love for handloom and a desire to see weaver families thrive. Every saree that reaches you has been personally chosen, with care and intention, by someone who genuinely believes in the craft behind it.
"This isn't just a brand for me — it's a way to honor a craft I love, and support the families who keep it alive."
— Kavya Adiga, Founder
Our Promise
Adira is built on a simple belief: that handloom is not just fabric, but a living tradition — one that deserves to be worn, celebrated, and carried forward. Every saree you choose from us is a small, meaningful way of keeping that tradition alive.
